A few answers about the managers, editions and running your own server.
Which operating systems are supported?
These are Windows desktop applications for 64-bit Windows. Check the relevant store page for the release you are downloading. The computer also needs to meet the game’s dedicated-server requirements.
Is this a server hosting service?
No. The managers run on your Windows computer and help you install and maintain a dedicated game server. You provide the server hardware and network connection.
Can I use Lite for free?
Yes. Arkasm Lite, SSM Lite and PSM Lite are free. itch.io lets you contribute to development or continue to the free download.
What does Pro add?
Pro adds multiple-server management and other tools. The details differ by game: for example, scheduled restarts are included in Arkasm Lite but require SSM Pro. See the Arkasm comparison the SSM comparison or the PSM comparison.
Can I import an existing server?
Yes. Arkasm, SSM and PSM can use an existing dedicated server installation. Back up important server files before changing the setup.
Does the manager need to stay open?
The game server runs as a separate process. Scheduling, monitoring, notifications and automatic actions provided by the manager require the manager to remain running.
Is PSM available to download?
Yes. Palworld Server Manager is available in early access as free Lite and paid Pro editions. See the PSM page for downloads and the edition comparison. Features are still being developed and may change.
Where should I report a problem?
Use the Discord community or email support. Include the manager name, version, Lite or Pro edition, what you were doing and any error message. Remove passwords, tokens and other private details from logs before sharing them.
Are these official tools?
No. Creative Digital Design is independent of the developers and publishers of ARK: Survival Ascended, SCUM and Palworld.
