Get your server set up.
Choose your manager below. These guides cover the first steps, with separate instructions for individual features.
ARK: Survival Ascended
Arkasm: your first server
Download and extract Arkasm
Choose Lite or Pro, download it from itch.io and extract it into its own folder. Run the application.
Install or import a server
Install a fresh ASA server or select an existing server installation. Keep the server files in a separate folder from Arkasm.
Review the configuration
Choose the map and set the session name, ports and administration settings. Check Game.ini and GameUserSettings.ini before starting the server.
Start the server, then set up maintenance
Check that the server starts correctly. Configure backups, update checks and scheduled restarts as needed. Pro also provides webhook notifications.
SCUM
SSM: your first server
Choose your edition
SSM Lite manages a single server. Pro adds multiple-server support, scheduled restarts, the Discord bot and webhooks.
Install or import
Use SteamCMD through SSM to install a server, or select an existing SCUM server folder.
Check the settings
Set the server name and network options. Review ServerSettings.ini and EconomyOverride.json for the settings you want.
Start and check the server
Check the server state and output. Set up backups and update behaviour; configure scheduled restarts and notifications if you use Pro.
Palworld
PSM: your first server
Download Lite or Pro
Choose an edition from the PSM comparison, download it from itch.io and extract it into its own folder. Run the application.
Install or import
Install a new dedicated server or import an existing dedicated server or local/co-op game. Keep a backup of your original save before importing it.
Review the settings
Set the server name, ports, player limit and startup options. Review the values in PalWorldSettings.ini before starting the server.
Start and check the server
Check that the server starts, then configure update checks, backups and scheduled restarts. Pro adds mod management, scheduled messages and Discord integration.
PSM is in early access. Consult the store release notes for changes affecting your version.
